Welcome to BBSN

The Baw Baw Sustainability Network (BBSN) is working locally to promote and achieve sustainable living.

The BBSN is a group of every day people getting together to do extraordinary things today and for the future.

How We Started:

BBSN started up in 2007 when a group of ordinary people from around the West Gippsland and Baw Baw Shire area were concerned with the environmental situation of the planet and decided to form a sustainability group. The Network has since flourished with over 100 members and hundreds of interested people across our region.

We are an independent not-for-profit group bridging the gap between talk and action on Sustainable Living.

Some of the activities we do:

  •     Bulk food buying group
  •     Re-skilling  Workshops
  •     Produce Swaps
  •     Domestic energy workshops
  •     Sustainable House Day
  •     Food Gardens Day
  •     Community Garden in Yarragon
  •     Gardening days
  •     Cooking pizzas in a wood-fired oven
  •     Film nights
  •     Informative speakers at public meetings

We're constantly coming up with new ideas & welcome any suggestions!
