Based on the book of the same name, The Lorax has been called a ‘brilliant critique of consumer capitalism’. This animated film takes us into the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss. The book comes to life like never before in this visually spectacular adventure from the creators of Despicable Me!

Twelve-year-old Ted will do anything to find a real live Truffula Tree in order to impress the girl of his dreams. As he embarks on his journey, Ted discovers the incredible story of the Lorax, a grumpy but charming creature who speaks for the trees.

This family friendly film carries an important message: unless preserve and protect our environment there will be nothing left for us to save.

Join the Baw Baw Sustainability Network for a screening of The Lorax on Thursday 30 November at 7pm at the Yarragon Uniting Church Hall, 9 Campbell Street Yarragon.

The screening will be followed by a discussion and a light supper.
