Get Involved – Make a Real Difference with the Baw Baw Sustainability Network!

 

We warmly invite members of our community to join us in creating a more sustainable future. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your involvement is entirely flexible – what matters most is your enthusiasm and a shared vision for change.

 

When you get involved, you won’t be doing it alone. We provide mentoring and support, and you’ll be working alongside other like-minded people who are passionate about sustainability and community action.

 

We are currently seeking:

• Volunteers to support events, projects, and community initiatives

• Local experts and educators to share knowledge and practical skills

• Partners and organisations interested in meaningful collaboration

• Community members passionate about sustainability and climate action

• Project contributors to help design and deliver hands-on initiatives

• Advocates to support policy development and positive change

 

Current opportunities include:

• Volunteering at events such as the annual Creative Harvest Festival, Yarragon Futures Market, and Climate Conversation Café

• Contributing written content — blogs and other website articles, newsletter copy highlighting positive local stories

• Assisting with promotional materials to attract and welcome new members and inspire activism

• Developing marketing strategies and social media content

• Supporting policy work, including reports, submissions, and other documentation

• Leading or assisting with a Repair Café

• Helping deliver community engagement programs with local stakeholders
