About Us
We are an independent not-for-profit group bridging the gap between talk and action on sustainable living.
BBSN started up in 2007 when a group of ordinary people from around the West Gippsland and Baw Baw Shire area were concerned with the environmental situation of the planet and decided to form a sustainability group. The Network has since flourished with over 100 members and hundreds of interested people across our region.
We focus on two main areas- helping people reduce their energy use at home or small business and on promoting local food networks and gardening.
We run regular monthly information nights, workshops, Sustainable House Day, Creative Harvest open food garden and artist weekend, offer a range of energy assessments, draught proofing retrofits and most importantly, provide a space for like minded people to socialise, garden, discuss, plan and do.
