About the Event
This route travels along the highway to Yarragon then heads south to wind up the front of the Strzelecki ranges with great views down to the valley below and beyond to Warragul. It is a windy gravel road for part of this section.
Bingarra is a large attractive garden in a lovely bushland setting.
From Trafalgar South the route is along the Sunny Creek Road through farmland to the garden at Childers which is an impressive new veggie garden set amongst potato farms.
From here it is out to the small town of Thorpdale and on to Mirboo North.
After lunch served at an outdoor eating area in the garden at Jaci’s Garden, which is grown to service her Food Studio Jacican, the bus will return to Trafalgar, the last part of this drive being a long descent back down the Strzelecki range to the highway.
Around the Mulberry Tree is a cleverly designed garden right in the middle of town.
Returning to Warragul along the highway we will visit the Eastern Park Community Garden, which has many interesting and attractive features.
