About the Event
Zerogen, together with its project partners, is developing the Gippsland Sustainable Fuels Precinct in the Wellington Shire. The precinct will focus on producing low-carbon fuels, including hydrogen and methanol, along with a range of valuable co-products.
Using advanced European technologies, the project will convert materials that are currently treated as waste into high-value, low-carbon fuels. These fuels are intended to support the decarbonisation of the regional economy, particularly hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy transport and stationary energy.
The proposed feedstocks include municipal and commercial waste that would otherwise be sent to landfill, as well as residual biomass from regional industries, including Gippsland's plantation forestry sector.
