About the Event
ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT...... SO BOOK ASAP OR YOU WILL MISS OUT.
Come on a culinary adventure into the world of Thai cooking with Tira, exploring the taste of genuine Thai cuisine.  It will start with a tour of Tira’s garden where she will talk about her experience growing Asian herbs and vegetables in her backyard garden in West Gippsland. Â
As a tea lover, Tira will share with you some refreshing and healthy herbal teas that are popular with Thais such as Butterfly Pea flower tea.
From Tira’s garden, we will adjourn to the Warragul Community House kitchen, where Tira will demonstrate how to prepare simple but enjoyable Thai dishes with ingredients that we can find or grow here.Â
Laap Muu or Thai northeast region styled Pork Mince Salad. Tira will also show you how to make a vegetarian version of this dish by using mushroom.Â
Cap Cai or the Thai version of Chinese Mixed Vegetable Stew. Â In past decades, it has been popular among vegetarians and health-conscious people.Â
Hang Lay or the Thai northern region version of Burmese Hin Lay curry.  It’s a regional specialty which most restaurants in Chiang Mai will include on their menu. Tira will show you how to make this delicious curry from scratch, and most important of all, she will show you how to create and enjoy the curry’s authentic taste minus chili hot!
A surprise healthy traditional Thai dessert will be served at the beginning of the workshop.
Participants will be provided with the recipes to try at home. Â
Warragul Community House is located in Normanby Street, Warragul.
Tira’s house is adjacent to Eastern Park, a short walk from the Warragul Community House. Participants will be provided with the address when they enrol.
