About the Event
Our monthly information evenings bring like-minded people together to learn about living sustainably.
October will be our chance to learn about food and health with Anj Reddy; Lecturer, Dietetics and Human Nutrition, at La Trobe University. Anj will explore the intricacies and benefits of following a Mediterranean diet.Â

Anj’s research aims to understand the effect of a Mediterranean Diet on inflammation in patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Anj’s research also involves the exploration of candidate genes related to disease risk and novel target tissues that may reflect the effect of dietary modifications at the level of gene expression in the field of nutrigenomics.Â
Her experience as a doctoral candidate has allowed her to gain extensive experience in coordinating a multi-centre, dietary intervention trial (the MEDINA Trial) and she will continue to work with the MEDINA research team.
